Design: The
MX-II, or "operable roof," greenhouse consists of a hot dipped
galvanized steel superstructure with aluminum gutters and bolted aluminum
roof panels. For economy, initial installations may use double polyethylene
film then later switch to tempered glass or polycarbonate with no structural
changes. The rack and pinion opening mechanism operated by a single drive
shaft allows the roof panels to open at exactly the same rate, creating
a water tight seal in the closed position. This roof can be controlled
in modulation allowing anything between a minimal 4" opening when
little cooling is necessary to fully open for maximum ventilation.

All substructure materials are
manufactured using raw steel and then hot dipped galvanized for rust
protection.
-
Greenhouse structure is braced
with X-brace section and wind brace section using 1/2 inch round hot
dipped galvanized rods.
-
NGMA standard structural load
calculations are used unless otherwise requested by customer.
Custom Fabrication:
- Truss clearance, gutter and truss extension heights
custom manufactured per project
- Girder trusses to eliminate posts
- Greenhouses must be built with level gutter.
- Roof drainage must be removed through interior downspouts
and PVC piping
- Framing of passage, overhead with sliding doors
- Attachment to existing or new buildings
- Non-standard bay widths manufactured if required
- Greenhouses can be manufactured to accept:
- Shade/energy retention systems
- Crop support systems
- Hanging basket systems
- Roof vent system
- Irrigation booms
- Heating systems
- Lighting systems
