Van Wingerden offers a range of services for
heating a greenhouse including consultation, design and installation of
floor, overhead and underbench heating systems; boiler rooms, ring mains,
heat distribution manifolds, insulation of heat pipes and a variety of
control options from the simplest unit controllers to integrated computer
svstems. Heat systems are designed with aid of computer models to minimize
temperature variation in a greenhouse compartment. Some of the heating
systems that we offer are summarized below.
Hot Water Heating Systems
-
Systems can be installed in most types
of greenhouse structure.
-
Boilers can either be 2-pass or 3-pass,
dryback or wetback. Scotch Marine boilers which burn gas and/or No.
2 oil. Mini-boiler or gas fired copper-finned tube boilers are also
offered.
-
Both four-way and three-way mixing valves
are available.
-
Heat distribution manifold systems can
be designed for cluster control.
-
Heating for irrigation water is offered.
-
The design of ring mains or transportation
systems is available.
-
Overhead heating systems can be installed
using either Gatorshield or black steel heating pipe.
-
Floor heating svstems typically use
polybutylene tube with fused or polypropylene tube with individual
loop isolation. Floor heating systems are also offered so that they
can be integrated with ebb and flood irrigation systems. They are
typically used in conjunction with overhead hot water heating systems
or with unit heaters.
-
Underbench heating systems are offered
with Gatorshield or black steel pipe.
