Design: The
AP, or "aluminum/polycarbonate A-Frame," greenhouse consists
of a hot dipped galvanized steel superstructure with aluminum gutters
and aluminum roof bars glazed with either 8mm or 16mm twin walled polycarbonate.
Gutter choices can be either steel or aluminum. This is a bolted roof,
making repairs or polycarbonate panel replacement much easier. The angle
of 30 degrees increases light intensity in the greenhouse. Continuous
roof vents may be added to this system, allowing for ventilation without
necessarily needing exhaust fans.
Roof Structure:
- Peaked twin-walled polycarbonate panels
- 30-degree roof slope
- Peaked roof design controls condensation drip
- Aluminum extruded hollow gutter sections
- Aluminum extruded half moon drip gutter
- Aluminum extruded gutter bracket
- Aluminum extruded roof bars, 48 inch centers
- Aluminum extruded ridge
- Bolted roof system
- Roof able to accept vent system, optional
- All stainless steel hardware
Glazing:
8mm or 16mm twin-walled polycarbonate panels

-
All substructure materials are
manufactured using raw steel and then hot dipped galvanized for rust
protection.
-
Greenhouse structure is braced
with X-brace section and wind brace section using 1/2 inch round hot
dipped galvanized rods.
-
NGMA standard structural load
calculations are used unless otherwise requested by customer.
Custom Fabrication:
- Truss clearance, gutter and truss extension heights
custom manufactured per project
- Girder trusses to eliminate posts.
- Slope of the greenhouse roof created by varying the
slope in the posts and the truss extensions above the truss. This
allows the truss and the land to be level.
- Framing of passage, overhead and sliding doors
- Attachment to existing or new buildings
- Non-standard bay widths manufactured if required.
- Greenhouses can be manufactured to accept:
- Shade/energy retention systems
- Crop support systems
- Hanging basket systems
- Roof vent system
- Irrigation booms
- Heating systems
- Lighting systems
